| Notes | Voss (1957) is a novel by Australian writer Patrick White. It is based upon the life of the nineteenth-century Prussian explorer and naturalist Ludwig Leichhardt who disappeared whilst on an expedition into the Australian outback. The novel won the inaugural Miles Franklin Award in 1957. |
