Sexus (1949) is the first book in The Rosy Crucifixion trilogy, a fictionalized account documenting the six-year period of Henry Miller's life in Brooklyn as he falls for his second wife June and struggles to become a writer. It was first published in English in 1949 as a two-volume set by Obelisk Press, Paris, France.
