«Скверный анекдот» (English: "A Nasty Story", also translated as "A Disgraceful Affair", or "A Most Unfortunate Incident", or "An Unpleasant Predicament") is a satirical short story by Fyodor Dostoyevsky concerning the escapades of a Russian civil servant. First published in the journal «Время» in 1862.
