Planet of the Damned (also published as Slaves of the Klau, and Gold and Iron) is a science fiction novel by Jack Vance, first published in Space Stories, December 1952. An abridgement of the magazine version was published in book form in 1958 under the title Slaves of the Klau. In 1982, a book edition was published that was a reprint of the magazine version under the title Gold and Iron. In 2002, a book edition was published that was a new revision based on the 1952 magazine version under the title Gold and Iron.
