Sodome et Gomorrhe (English: Sodom and Gomorrah, sometimes translated as Cities of the Plain) is a novel by Marcel Proust, originally published in two volumes Sodome et Gomorrhe I (1921) and Sodome et Gomorrhe II (1922). The first forty pages of Sodome et Gomorrhe initially appeared at the end of Le Côté de Guermantes II. It is the fourth book in his series À la recherche du temps perdu (English: In Search of Lost Time, previously translated as Remembrance of Things Past.
