The Sword of the Dawn is a fantasy novel by British author Michael Moorcock, first published in 1968. The novel is the third in Moorcock's tetralogy The History of the Runestaff series which is a sub-series of the Hawkmoon series. The narrative follows on immediately from the preceding novel The Mad God's Amulet.
