The Runestaff is a novel by Michael Moorcock, first published in 1969 under the title The Secret of the Runestaff. The book is the fourth in Moorcock's tetralogy The History of the Runestaff series which is a sub-series of the Hawkmoon series. The narrative follows on immediately from the preceding novel The Sword of the Dawn.
