Dragonsong is a science fantasy novel by the American-Irish author Anne McCaffrey, first published by Atheneum Books in March 1976. It was the third novel set on the world of Pern in the Dragonriders of Pern series, but was not part of the original trilogy which had yet to be completed.
Dragonsong marked a change of publisher, editor, and a shift in target audience to young adults. It is the first book in the Harper Hall Trilogy.
