It was originally published as chapter 11 (titled "The Last Poets and the Robots") as part of the collaborative novel Cosmos, which was included as an insert in Science Fiction Digest/Fantasy Magazine from July 1933 - December 1934/January 1935. The revised story with the new title was later published in Thrilling Wonder Stories, October 1936. |
