| Notes | Salka Valka is a novel by Halldór Laxness. The first part, called Þú vínviður hreini (O Thou Pure Vine), came out in 1931, and the second, Fuglinn í fjörunni (The Bird on the Beach), the following year, 1932. The book has since been published under the name Salka Valka. |
