War of the Winged Men (also published as The Man Who Counts, and The Earth Book of Stormgate: 2) is a science fiction novel by Poul Anderson, first serialized in three parts in Astounding Science Fiction, from February to April 1958. It is part of the Nicholas Van Rijn series.
