Colonel Sun was the first Bond 'continuation' novel, published four years after Ian Fleming's death. Originally published under the pseudonym "Robert Markham". Before writing the novel, Kingsley Amis wrote two other Bond related works, the literary study The James Bond Dossier and the humorous The Book of Bond.
