NotesYoung Men in Spats is a collection of short stories by P. G. Wodehouse, first published in the UK on 3 April 1936, and in the US with a slightly different selection of stories on 24 July 1936: "Tried in the Furnace" and "Trouble Down At Tudsleigh" had not previously appeared in the US, and were held back so they could garner greater income from magazine sales. (both stories eventually appeared in The Cosmopolitan.) These two stories were accordingly replaced by three other short stories, "There's Always Golf", "The Letter of the Law", and "Farewell to Legs". All the stories had appeared previously in various magazines. • "Fate" - part of the Drones Club series • "Tried in the Furnace" - part of the Drones Club series • "Trouble Down at Tudsleigh" - part of the Drones Club series • "The Amazing Hat Mystery" - part of the Drones Club series • "Goodbye to All Cats" - part of the Drones Club series • "The Luck of the Stiffhams" - part of the Drones Club series • "Noblesse Oblige" - part of the Drones Club series • "Uncle Fred Flits By" (US 1935 / UK 1935) - part of the Drones Club and Uncle Fred series • "Archibald and the Masses" (US 1935 / UK 1936) - part of the Mr. Mulliner series • "The Code of the Mulliners" (US 1935 / UK 1935) - part of the Mr. Mulliner series • "The Fiery Wooing of Mordred" (US 1934 / UK 1935) - part of the Mr. Mulliner series
