Agent of Byzantium is a science fiction novel by Harry Turtledove, first published in 1987. It is a fix-up of the following short stories: The Eyes of Argos (1986); Strange Eruptions (1986); Pillar of Cloud, Pillar of Fire (1989) (in the 1994 edition only); Unholy Trinity (1985); Archetypes (1985); Images (1987); and Superwine (1987).
