The Stars in Shroud is a science fiction novel by Gregory Benford, first serialized in three parts in Galaxy, from May to September 1978, and then in book form in August 1978.
The novel is an expanded and rewritten version of his novel Deeper Than the Darkness (1970) (which was based on his novelette Deeper Than the Darkness (1969)).
