Joe Boyd
American record and film producer and label owner who currently lives in London, England. He has produced Pink Floyd, Nick Drake, Fairport Convention, and R.E.M., among others. In 1980 he founded the record label Hannibal Records, which he ran for 20 years. He was the former owner of Witchseason Productions Ltd., and produced the films Jimi Hendrix and Scandal. He has written occasionally for the British publications The Guardian and Independent. The compilation album White Bicycles - Making Music In The 1960s is an anthology of his record production work. Boyd was born August 5, 1942 in Boston, Massachusetts and graduated from Harvard University in 1964.
