Dashiell Hedayat

Dashiell Hedayat was a pseudonym used by Daniel Théron (perhaps better known by his stage name Jack-Alain Léger) (born 5 June 1947, Toulon, France - died 17 July 2013, Paris, France) a French novelist, singer, lyricist and translator. The pseudonym Dashiell Hedayat was a tribute to the detective novelist Dashiell Hammett and the Iranian writer, Sadegh Hedayat. Under this name he recorded an album titled "Obsolete" in 1971 with the group Gong.
