Diesel & Electric Group
Formed in 1972 to promote interest in modern railways. Produced the magazine 'Inter-City Express' and other publications. Moved into railway preservation in July 1975 upon purchase of 'Hymek' D7017. Further acquisitions followed. Changed name in 1987 to the Diesel and Electric Preservation Group. http://www.depg.org/index.html
