Alcaeus of Mytilene
Alcaeus of Mytilene (Greek: Ἀλκαῖος ὁ Μυτιληναῖος; born circa 620 – died 6th century BC) was a lyric poet from the Greek island of Lesbos who is credited with inventing the Alcaic stanza.
