Aelius Galenus or Claudius Galenus (Greek: Κλαύδιος Γαληνός; September 129 AD – circa 200/circa 216), often Anglicized as Galen and better known as Galen of Pergamon, was a Greek physician, surgeon and philosopher in the Roman Empire.
