Bob Palmer
Robert "Bob" Palmer Jr. was an American author, music critic, musician, ethno-musicologist, lecturer, record producer, and documentary film-maker. In the 1970s he worked freelance for Crawdaddy and Rolling Stone as well as being the New York correspondent for UK magazine Black Music. Palmer was chief pop critic from 1981 to 1988 for the New York Times. His work also appeared in Penthouse, Atlantic Monthly, Journal of American Folklore, and other publications.
