Javier Martínez
Javier Martinez (Buenos Aires, 18 March 1946) is a drummer, singer and composer of Argentine rock and blues, founder and leader of Manal, the first group composed blues in Spanish. Has a world record in implementation of battery. It is regarded not only as the precursor and his band to interpret blues in Spanish; but it is also the first singer and drummer not only of Argentina if not in all over the world. Martinez was responsible for the composition of the debut album of Manal, who is regarded by critics as one of the best works of Argentine rock, with songs such as "cold tomato juice", "Report of a day", "House with ten pines", "Because today I was born" and "Avellaneda Blues", the latter in co-authorship with Claudio Gabis.
