Maurizio Damiano-Appia is Egyptologist, specialized in the'study of the Nubian civilisation. It is the'one of the first popularizers of Egyptology in Italy; it has published many volumes and a few hundreds of'articles to specialized nature and extension on the'Egypt, the Nubia, the Red Sea, the Sinai and the Middle East.
His main area of'studies, the'Egyptology, is supplemented by the specializations Egyptian archeology, hieroglyphic epigraphy, history and archeology Nubian. A second branch of'Complete study The first, providing a different vision and overall more: this are its studies of natural sciences; in the wake of these studies he has created a project of anthropological'intervention in Sudan, where his knowledge of the Territory, gained in the course of archaeological missions, has been used for the development of the project of international aid; interventions have been carried out in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the'Institute italo-African and with various United Nations agencies (UNICEF, UNDP, WFP).
