Sheila Fitzpatrick (2)

[b. June 4, 1941] Australian academic and author specializing in Soviet history, specifically the Stalinist era. Currently a Professor at the University of Sydney; prior to taking the position in Sydney, she was the Bernadette E. Schmitt Distinguished Service Professor at the University of Chicago, where she coedited The Journal of Modern History. Sheila Fitzpatrick got her BA at the University of Melbourne, and her doctorate from St Antony's College at Oxford. She was a Research Fellow at the London School of Slavonic and East European Studies from 1969 to 1972.
