Richard Pipes
Richard Edgar Pipes was a long-tenured professor of history at Harvard University (he began there in 1958), specializing in the history of the Soviet Union. He served as Director of East European and Soviet Affairs at the NSC (U.S. National Security Council) 1981-1982.
