Basic Art 2.0
Taschen's Basic Art, a series which begun in 1985, is one of the best selling art book collections. Each book in the Basic Art series features a detailed chronological summary of the life and oeuvre of the artist, covering his or her cultural and historical importance, a concise biography, and approximately 100 illustrations with explanatory captions. The books of the original series were published as A4 books. The series' follow-up, Basic Art 2.0, was started on the original series' 30th anniversary. The new editions have been revised and newly designed, are hardcover bound, and come in a smaller size (21 x 26 cm).
