Faber & Faber Ltd

Independent British publishers, often abbreviated to Faber, based in London. For the imprint see Faber & Faber. The company was founded in 1929 by Geoffrey Faber, who had previously run Faber and Gwyer with Sir Maurice and Lady Gwyer. The poet T. S. Eliot is well known in his capacity as an editor at the firm between from the twenties through to the sixties. The firm's original location was its Georgian offices at 24 Russell Square, in Bloomsbury, London (there is now a commemorative blue plaque on the building).
