Constable & Co.

Archibald Constable & Co. was a Scottish publisher founded in Edinburgh in 1795 by Archibald Constable. At some point in the late 19th or early 20th century it became Archibald Constable & Co. Ltd. and by the 1910s, Constable & Company Limited which it remained until the late 1990s when it merged with Robinson Publishing. Constable is now an imprint of the Little, Brown Book Group. NB. currently unclear if Constable & Co. is an official name or imprint the publisher used or is just an abbreviated version of one of the above companies mentioned. Please use Constable and Company Ltd if the book credits Constable & Co. Ltd.
