Bernard Guilbert Guerney
[1894-1979] Author, literary translator and editor; he also owned a bookstore called The Blue Faun in New York. He was born in Nikolaev in imperial Russia, in what is today Ukraine. He changed his name from Bernard Abramovich Bronstein to Bernard Guilbert Guerney after his first novel was accepted for publication. His papers, dating from 1908, are held in collection at Penn State University.
