Sunnie Wilson
William Nathaniel ‟Sunnie” Wilson was an American entertainer, entrepreneur, promoter and political consultant. Well known as a congenial host, Sunnie was a distinguished member of the city of Detroit’s business, entertainment and political communities. In 1941, he purchased the legendary Forest Club on Hastings Street in Detroit, which made him the owner of the largest black-owned nightclub in the country at the time.
