Detroit Zoo
The Detroit Zoo, located about 2 miles north of the Detroit city limits in Royal Oak and Huntington Woods, Michigan, was the first zoo in the United States to use barless exhibits extensively. Situated on 125 acres, it provides a natural habitat for more than 2,000 animals representing 245 species.
