Tiger Tank

Tiger was a series of German heavy tanks of World War II deployed from 1942 in Africa and Europe usually in independent heavy tank battalions. After August 1944, production of the Tiger I was phased out in favour of the Tiger II. The final official designation for the Tiger I was Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger Ausf. E often shortened to Tiger. The final official German designation for the Tiger II was Panzerkampfwagen Tiger Ausf. B, often shortened to Tiger B. The Tiger II was named by the allied soldiers, especially the American forces, as the King Tiger.
