Irmgard Keun
Irmgard Keun (6 February 1905 – 5 May 1982) was a German author of novels. She is noted for her portrayals of the life of women during the Weimar Republic and the early years of Nazi Germany with characters portraying the flapper new woman and written in a style associated with New Objectivity. Her books were banned by Nazi authorities but gained recognition during the final years of her life. (Wikipedia)
