British pop band. Formed in 1983 after the disbanding of the mod revival band The Directions by their guitarist and songwriter Tony Burke, their bassist Martin Wilson and their drummer Steve Martinez. Singer Julie Hawden was added in the line up and Mace Carnochan on keyboards.
