Art-pop group built around the songwriting and performance of Ian Dury (vocals, b. May 12, 1942, d. March 27, 2000) and Chas Jankel (guitars/keyboards). Other personnel included Norman Watt-Roy (bass), John Turnbull (guitar), Davey Payne (saxophones), Edward Speight (guitar), Geoff Castle (moog), Mick Gallagher (keyboards), Wilko Johnson (guitar).
