Richard Goldstein
American writer and journalist based in New York. He started writing for the Village Voice in the 1960s and became its arts editor and then the executive editor until 2004. His tended to write about rock music, popular culture, sex, and politics. His work has appeared in numerous publications, including The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, New York magazine, Harper’s, Artforum, The Guardian, The Advocate, Esquire, Vogue, and online on The Huffington Post, Salon, and Atlantic.com. NOT to be confused with the journalist who started work for the New York Times in 1980.
