Alan Walsh
English journalist, editor and publisher. Born in Liverpool, Alan was a reporter for local media in the very early '60s. He then went onto write for music publications Disc and Melody Maker (for which he later became editor). Alan was also one of the team which, after leaving IPC in 1970 formed Spotlight Publications, launched the rival music paper Sounds and Kerrang!, as well as re-launching Record Mirror. He has now retired.
