Gerhard-Mark van der Waal

Gerhard-Mark van der Waal is a Dutch-born South African research author. He emigrated to South Africa in 1954. From 1980 he was Head of the Centre for Art Historical Research at the Human Sciences Research Council. He was a council member of the Art Historical Study Group of South Africa and was on the editorial board of The South African Journal of Art History.
