David Barnett

Scottish writer who worked for English group Suede. He began his career working for teen magazine Jackie (DC Thomson) and the comic Commando. He produced a number of fanzines including The Swindler Comic, Strangetrousers Here We Come and Basta. He also wrote the Suede fanzine Suave And Elegant which alerted the band to him and he eventually went to work for them. No relation to the English journalist and author.
