Afrobeat
Afrobeat, also known as afrofunk, is a music genre which developed in the 1960s to 1970s when African musicians began combining elements of West African musical styles such as highlife and jùjú music with American funk and jazz influences, with a focus on chanted vocals, complex intersecting rhythms, and percussion.
