Martin Hawkins

English music journalist, author and rock 'n' roll historian. In 1970, he started writing columns for music papers like Record Mirror, and then Melody Maker, Country Music People, Blues Unlimited, Goldmine, Old Time Music, Time Barrier Express etc. Hawkins is the author of A Shot in the Dark – Making Records in Nashville 1945-1955, co-author of Good Rockin’ Tonight: Sun Records and the Birth of Rock ’n’ Roll.
