Luciano Bianciardi (Grosseto, 14 December 1922 - Milan, 14 November 1971) was an Italian writer, journalist, translator, librarian, activist and television critic.
He contributed significantly to the Italian cultural ferment in the post-war period, actively collaborating with various publishing houses, magazines and newspapers. His narrative work is characterized by peaks of rebellion towards the cultural establishment, to which he also belonged, and by a careful analysis of the social customs in the Italy of the economic boom, so that narrative fiction often mixes essay pieces, which often turn in sociology.
