John E. Abbey

British publisher, editor, producer and record label owner. Abbey founded Blues & Soul magazine in 1966 under the name Home of the Blues. It changed its name to Blues & Soul in 1967 and was he was its editor into the 1980s. He started the labels Action in 1968, Mojo in 1971 and Contempo in 1973.
