Gustav Mahler
Gustav Mahler was an Austrian composer and one of the leading conductors of his time. With his nine completed symphonies he helped pave the way for modern musical composition. Though often unappreciated by contemporary critics and banned from the concert halls in Nazi Germany due to his Jewish origins he is today regarded as one of the greatest composers of all time.
