Founded in Bergamo in 1873 following the merger of some printing houses operating since the beginning of the 19th century. The founder and first president was the cartographer Paolo Gaffuri (Bergamo 1849 - 1931), who directed it until 1910. He publishes art, geographical, cartographic, scholastic editions.
