Dr Ira M. Freeman was associate professor at Rutgers University. Besides his scientific research and writing several technical books in his field, he devoted much time to interpreting science for the layman. In this respect he spent a year in Paris as consultant to the united Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
