ΒΙΠΕΡ

Greek imprint of low-priced pocket paperbacks issued by major local publisher Πάπυρος. ΒΙΠΕΡ books were mainly sold at kiosks around the country (ΒΙΠΕΡ = ΒΙβλία ΠΕΡιπτέρου, "kiosk books"). Number 1 came out in 1970 and the last one in the early 1980's. More than 2500 titles were released in total, both fiction and non-fiction, by Greek and foreign authors.
