Gyújtó Károly

Gyújtó Károly, Rear-admiral (born in Hungary, Nagy-Enyed (now Aiud, Romania) in 1803, died in Graz in 1885). In 1824 he entered the service of the Austrian Navy as a temporary naval officer, where he was promoted in 1848 as a captain of frigates in Venice. In 1854 he was the head of the naval command of the Venetian Sea, and later the commander of the port of Venice. He retired in 1857.
