Mike Melillo

Mike Melillo was born in Newark in 1939. Trained in a school of so-called "Light music" together with Woddy Shaw and Larry Young, where they immediately recognized his innate talent for jazz ("I started playing the songs that were in the air without knowing that my way of playing was jazz "), he then graduated from Rutgers University in 1962.
