Pier Luigi Gaspa

Pier Luigi Gaspa, former biologist, now mainly works on comics and also as a scientific translator collaborating with the publisher Raffaello Cortina. He has curated numerous expositions and co-operated with the organization of the most important events dedicated to comics and graphic novels, such as Lucca Comics & Games and Napoli Comicon. He has hold lectures and seminars at many Italian Universities. His interests chiefly focus on educational and didactic uses of comics, especially in science divulgation. Among his publications: La scienza tra le nuvole (2007, with Giulio Giorello), Per la libertà, la Resistenza nel fumetto (2009, with Luciano Niccolai), Verso Selene, il romanzo dell’Uomo sulla Luna, dall’immaginazione alla scienza (2009). His biography of Marie Curie is forthcoming (Imprimatur).
